My orientation day was fantastic. The school was so welcoming and my TA is so awesome! I am so excited to be working there and I can't wait to be officially starting my practicum.
There was also another great PD session this week that was put on by Kurtis Hewson. It was fantastic, as usual. He discussed different tips to keep in mind when securing and going in for a job interview. I learned a lot, and some of the things he discussed actually surprised me.
Reading week will be busy. I also got a call about substituting out at a hutterite colony for a day next week, which I am ecstatic about. I've only had one day of colony school substituting experience back in December, but I can't wait to meet this new class.
And then I'm back at the university working and attending SWATCA.
On a different note, I recently read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and LOVED it. It is a phenomenal teen novel that explores some pretty deep and philosophical ideas. It made me laugh and cry (and I have not cried for a book in quite a long time).
