However, I am determined to finish the one that I am currently taking, Get Organized: How to be a Together Teacher. It's a self-paced course with all the video lectures posted, so you can go through as quickly or as slowly as you'd like. There are a couple of small, fairly easy assignments that you submit and you are then required to evaluate your peers' work.
The course is straightforward and provides some really good examples and templates. It takes you through different kinds of lists, organization systems, and calendars. We all have our own versions of what being organized looks like, and while I have great tips, there are also some suggestions that I prefer to leave for someone else.
It has been an interesting experiment in monitoring my own motivation and pushing myself to do lessons regularly. There is no deadline for the course or the assignments, and I have always been a procrastinator in need of firm due dates. However, I've been working and motivating myself to finish the course, not because someone said I had to, but rather because I want to improve myself.
